My friends and I took our Day Skipper Practical over two long weekends with Josh from Roseate - it was absolutely brilliant. He made it fun and kept us engaged, while supplying just the right amount of challenge to keep us from getting complacent. He could quickly switch between acting as our tutor and helping out as crew, which really helped us bond as a team and made whoever was our allocated skipper genuinely feel they had responsibility. I am sure the fender mysteriously floating off just as we anchored was a sneaky man overboard drill though, despite him feigning ignorance!

Overall I am delighted we went with Josh and would recommend him to anyone. You will have fun and learn a lot but be prepared to be pushed - in a good way! I hope to do some further training with Roseate School in the future once we have consolidated the learning from Day Skipper.
